CULTURAL AND ENTERTAINMENT CENTER «ALEM»

The Cultural and Entertainment Center “Alem” (Turkmen: “Älem medeni dynç alyş merkezi”) is one of the most impressive architectural landmarks of Ashgabat and a true symbol of modern Turkmenistan. Located in the heart of the capital, this grand complex combines cultural, recreational, and technological spaces, turning every visit into a journey through light, art, and innovation. Standing 95 meters tall, the center captivates visitors with its futuristic design featuring glass and metal elements that create a sense of airiness and motion. Its most iconic feature is the giant Ferris wheel, officially listed in the Guinness World Records as the tallest indoor Ferris wheel in the world — a distinction that makes Alem unique not only in the region but globally. Inside, the complex offers a wide range of attractions, including modern gaming and entertainment zones, advanced cinema halls, thematic pavilions, cafes and relaxation areas, interactive exhibitions and cultural spaces. In the evening, Alem transforms into a vibrant spectacle as its façade lights up with hundreds of LED patterns and animations, making it one of the most photogenic and recognizable sights in Ashgabat.
